Alexander consultation with Aristotle on Opportunity

What do you see, when you come across the word opportunity.

Once, there lived a young boy Alexander, who have severe difficulty to make a business decision, whether to invest or not to invest in a new business venture.

He consulted a famous philosopher, Aristotle

The philosopher asked him to follow the "SWOT analysis"

Alexander wrote down:

1. Strength of the business

2. The weakness of the business

3. Opportunities in the business

4. The threat of the business.

The philosopher then guides him further:

1. Use your strength to overcome your threat

2. Use your weakness as an opportunity.

Alexander asked what is an opportunity then?

Opportunity means calculated risk during danger or what we say, we need to be able to fish in troubled water, whereby we use, our weakness as chances to expand our market share or resources.

Alexander asked how?

Aristotle Answer that we should used a blue ocean strategy, which encompasses:

1. Horizontal Integration

2. Vertical Integration.

3. Diagonal Integration,

Alexander learned a good lesson today.

Moral of the story: When the student is ready, the teacher will be there.

Be Bless As Always,

Dr Lion.
