In order to live a fulfilling life, we need to have Gratitude.
What is really Gratitude?
Gratitude is really about Counting our blessing and Grateful for our losses.
If we count our blessing, we are happy for being alive, able to eat, drink, able to move about, able to sleep soundly, do our normal and daily activities with equanimity in the mood.
Health Economics have our well being calculated in scales such as the EQ-5D scale or SF-36 scale that measures out normal activities, daily activities, mobility, sleep patterns, and mood.
We thank God for being alive, to put in simpleton words.
If we are grateful for our losses, we will thank God because our losses are smaller, than it originally plans to be.
Say, we were rewarded with five talents, we can be jealous or covet on those with ten talents or we can be grateful that we have four more talents than those with only one talent.
Talents are synonyms here with money, resources, knowledge or opportunities.
Whatever it is in life, do what best, with whatever we have and not grief for our losses, a man can only grief until bedtime.
In other words, A man can only carry their grief, to their bed or maximum to our death chamber.
A living dog is better than a dead lion, for the dead, does not know the works of the living and they don't have their reward anymore.
Moral of the story: Use our life to accumulate good deeds and remember that we must have a survival mentality to enhance our blessing and not a victim anymore, to let our losses have dominion over us.
God loves the grateful and abhors the covet.
In God we trust,
Dr. Lion.
